COBRA PROGRAM
The Anthony Chisom AIDS Foundation (ACAF) offers support to individuals living with HIV/AIDS that are currently receiving their insurance benefits through a COBRA program offered by their company. These payments can sometimes be two to three time higher than a basic premium payment, making it impossible for some to maintain their insurance coverage and access to vital medications and medical support necessary to sustain their health. Payments of such support will be made directly to the particular Medical Insurance Agency rather than to the individual
MEDICATION PROGRAM
ACAF offers support to those in need of help with funding for their necessary HIV/AIDS medications.
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
ACAF is currently able to offer support to those in the North Texas Area with transportation in the form of Dart passes. We are working to establish similar access in other cities around the country that maintain a public transportation system.
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM
ACAF is working to establish its' own programs and initiatives internationally to help people affected by HIV/AIDS but will also look to collaborate with existing and established organizations around the world that are doing the same. This allows donors the opportunity to support people living with HIV/AIDS on a global level and is part of our DONATE LOCALLY, GIVE GLOBALLY mantra.
EMERGENCY PROGRAM
Through this program ACAF will partner with Emergency Response Organizations in cases
of natural disasters, -
Parties interested in any of our programs should visit our application page to submit their information to begin the process of being considered for funding. All submissions for support will go through a board approval process and all submissions may not be selected for approval.
AWARENESS EVENTS
Through this program ACAF will partner with area organizations to bring awareness to HIV?AIDS and provide services. Our Inaugural event is the South Dallas AIDS Walk and will serve as the model to bring awareness to undeserved communities.
